Personal Work

I am consistently inspired by the nostalgia of my youth and the interest that applique, unique fabric combinations, and unlikely materials such as hair, plastic, and other fine art materials can bring to a piece or collection.

I sketched the below project with this inspiration in mind, making sure to show the works-in-progress pages illustrating my design process, different fabrics, inspiration, etc.

I utilize Procreate and Creative Adobe Suite to create mood boards and sketches.

Up-cycled the above piece using an existing tank top to create a “sample” for the sketch to the left. Sewing and concept by me.

Patterned and sewed this corset by tearing apart an existing corset, creating patterns from the garment pieces, adjusting to my preferences, and re-making in a new fabric and alternate trims.
